We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.

Enjoy the ride
Trying to maintain control in this life is a bit like trying to maintain control on a roller coaster. The ride does its own thing regardless of how uptight we are. When we fight the ride, resisting what’s happening at every turn, our whole being becomes tense. Go with the ride, accept what you cannot control, and freedom & joy will inevitably be yours.

To ease up and enjoy the "ride" make it a practice to repeat: “I surrender to this life”. Say it at the end of your meditation, before bedtime, after bedtime and of course when the going gets rough. Bow your head to your heart and say, "I surrender to this life.” You can repeat this simple mantra as necessary throughout the day,
Because almost always, the only control we have is in choosing how we are going to respond to the ride. You're riding the ride, enjoy it. Ride it with your hands up in the air waving in freedom and joy.

Awaken the Healer Withi

Tune yourself by tuning in!

The physical body is like a biological computer. It is composed of innumerable components and stores many things in its vast memory. Though we try to rid ourselves of illnesses in the form of viruses, diseases, and aches and pains, these, too, are a part of the human computer. The mind-body system is miraculous, utilizing everything in its control to send us signs. Chronic pain can be a sign of discord, infection a sign of exhaustion or emotional repression, and a sour stomach a sign of anger or stress. Many illnesses are manifest into being through our own actions or inactions, bottled-up worries, or inability to feel deserving. Because your body will not lie to you, it is often possible to not only become well, but to treat the
underlying root of the illness, by tuning into it.

When you feel sickness coming on or if you have been dealing with sickness for a long period of time, take time out of your day to sit quietly and relax deeply. When you have reached a state of intense relaxation, ask that which plagues you what it wants. Talk to it. your body has all of the answers. What your sickness tells you may be surprising.
However, when you have acknowledged and accepted the answer, your recovery will be swift.
Tuning into your illness can help you learn new,
more effective, adaptive, and powerful ways of dealing with sickness. Putting one's faith in the ability of the mind to heal the body and vice versa is an important step on the
journey toward lasting self healing.

Ohm The question persists, and the answer is always the same!

Everyone has experienced the pleasantly surprised feelings left behind by a meaningful coincidence. The situation itself may be insignificant - the book whose title you couldn't remember falls off the bookstore shelf or an acquaintance who seems to enter your life again and again - but the message inherent in the coincidence may not be. Synchronicity, or the unlikely conjunction of events, can be an eye-opening experience. Psychologist Carl Jung theorized that synchronicities occurred when universal forces were aligned with the experiences of an individual, leading to coincidences that appear to be more than just chance. These incidents happen because everything is innately connected. He believed such events can be called forth by an individual's unconscious needs. Nothing occurs randomly. Rather, we draw certain people, situations, and blessings to ourselves.

A synchronistic event such as a chance encounter can be positive, negative, or neutral, and feel deeply mysterious or commonplace. Some coincidences are obvious while others are not apparent until after careful analysis. Perhaps during an ongoing financial crisis, you always found just enough money to get by. Or a recurring dream prepares you for an eventual physical event. Many times, synchronicities represent opportunities to learn about ourselves and the external world. If you feel touched by multiple coincidences or intrigued by a single one, ask yourself why you may be attracting the people involved or the situations. Is it highlighting some aspect of your life or suggesting a course of action? The soul, believed Jung, whispers to us through synchronicity calling us to attention.

Seeking the meaning behind a synchronistic event can help you know yourself better, kick start your creativity, or show you future pitfalls to avoid. The most profound coincidences often occur at life's crossroads, stopping us in our tracks and leaving us to find the meaning within.

Ohm Why fear?

Young and old, rich and poor, man and woman - each of us exists in the shadow of fear. From the time we first become conscious, we are plagued by fears and though our fears evolve, they never leave us. Most of us tend to make life choices based on the fear of failure, the fear of success, the fear of being mocked, the fear of the unknown, and the fear that we have sullied the gift of life. In many ways fear can be a comforting crutch. But while fear is a natural and necessary innate survival instinct, it can also be a hindrance that works to keep a person's soul from reaching its potential. When you live in reaction to your fears (be they big or small), that fear is in control of your life.

Generally, there are two types of fear. There is the fear inspired by real dangers, and there is the fear of that which cannot harm us and that which we cannot control. This is the unhealthy fear that can make you unhappy and arrests your creativity. The latter is more like an intense worry, a doubt, or nervousness that paralyzes your desire to act.

When fear comes, there are numerous ways to soothe yourself. You may find that writing in a journal, praying, meditation, interacting with a pet, or listening to peaceful music can ease you into a less fearful and more confident state. If you find yourself overwhelmed by fear, regain control by giving yourself to the count of five to acknowledge your feelings in whatever way is comfortable, and then banish those feelings by finding a constructive solution. Another way to deal with fear is to treat it like an entity within you. Get very quiet and centered and talk to it, ask it what it wants, why is it there, what does it need? Your body has all of the answers already, you simply need to ask and then listen. You may be surprised at what you come up with if you really spend some time with this. After you have sorted through these feelings, ask the fear to leave. If you like, make a ceremony for yourself with candles releasing the fear to the universe. See the fear leaving! your body and being transformed into beautiful light.

Our entire lives are mysteries and none of us know what the future will bring. The strongest weapon we possess against fear is remembering the many blessings, talents, and loved-ones we possess in the present - for those are the gifts that can keep fear at bay.

Ohm  Simplify, relax and feel the difference

Between the rivers of urban traffic and the cool streams of
nirvana is a middle ground.
More is expected of us than ever before. Within the home,
each person takes on multiple roles that were once spread out
through the extended family - homemaker, breadwinner, parent, cook,
head of household - stretching an individual to his or her limits.
When stress reaches unbearable levels, we may entertain ideas of chucking it
all and running off to Walden Pond or a Himalayan mountaintop where "wireless"
means nothing to wire and the only cells are those that nature provided in the birds and the bees.
This impulse to flee a changing world is nothing new, sages of the past from Plato to Confucius,
have advised about returning to simplicity.

By taking a good look at one's lifestyle and the conflicts that have
arisen through one's habits, some important but subtle shifts can be made that
bring about a more simplified life. The repercussions making these changes extend from
one's inner spiritual life to interpersonal relationships to the global environment.

Spending a few minutes calming the mind and taking note of one's
emotions helps slow down complicated thinking that often creates negative reactions.
Even trying for a few seconds a day - stopping and looking at how your mind is racing, judging,
conceptualizing - and noticing the noise it creates, is a great beginning.
Eventually seconds may become minutes and the chain reaction begins.
By developing inner quiet and compassion, one's relationships become less stormy.
Making economic changes, introducing skillful management and reducing one's cravings,
slows down the frenzied cycle of consumption. In turn, consuming less means living lighter on
the land which creates a balance in your environment both immediate and far reaching.

Sometimes trees need pruning in order to continue blossoming.
Find the heavy boughs that are weighing down your life and give yourself a healthy trim,
We cannot stop evolutionary and societal change,
but if we are in complete control to change ourselves and when we do this,
our relationship to everything around us begins to change.

Ohm  Generosity causes abundance,
money, attention, love...

The most difficult time to be generous is when we ourselves are feeling poor. While some of
us have experienced actually being in the red financially, there are those of
us who would feel broke even if we had a million dollars in the bank.
Either way, as the old adage goes, it is always in giving that we receive.
Meaning that when we are living in a state of lack, the very gesture we
may least want to give is the very act that could help us create the
abundance that we seek. One way to practice generosity is to
give energy where it is needed. Giving money to a cause or person in
need is one way to give energy. Giving attention, love, or a smile to
another person are other acts of giving that we can offer. After all,
there are people all over the world that are hungry for love.
Sometimes when we practice generosity, we practice it conditionally.

We might be expecting to "receive back" from the person to whom we gave.
We might even become angry or resentful if that person doesn't reciprocate.
However, trust in the natural flow of energy, and you will find yourself practicing
generosity with no strings attached. This is the purest form of giving.
Remember that what you send out will always come back to you.
Selflessly help a friend in need without expecting them to return the
same favor in the same way, and know that you, too, will receive that support from
the universe when you need it. Besides, while giving conditionally creates stress
(because we are waiting with an invisible balance sheet to receive our due),
giving unconditionally creates and generates abundance. We give freely,
because we trust that there is always an unlimited supply.

Being aware of how much we are always supported by the universe is one of

the keys to abundance and generosity. Consciously remember the times
you've received support from expected and unexpected sources.
Remember anyone who has helped you when you've needed it most,
and bless all situations that come into your life for the lessons and
gifts they bring you. Remember that all things given and
received emanate from generosity.
Giving is an act of gratitude. Plant the seeds of generosity through
your acts of giving, and you will grow the fruits of abundance within yourself.

Ohm  Practice as if your hair were on fire!

It is a natural part of spiritual development to have periods of activity and
growth followed by periods of relative quiet.
Sometimes we need to rest in order to integrate
a new vision of the world, or ourselves,
taking time to assimilate new realizations and
to let old patterns and habits fall away.
The purpose of times like these is to stabilize our new growth.
While it may appear that nothing is happening,
these can be necessary periods of rest and integration.

Sometimes, though, slow growth or no growth can actually be stagnation.
We may have become attached to keeping things as they are,
afraid to invite more change.
And yet, change is the nature of reality and when we resist it,
we fall out of sync with what is.
Just as a plateau is a good place to get our bearings,
to see where we've come from and where we might go next,
it is also a place we must not be afraid to leave
if we are to move to the next level.

There is a Zen expression: Practice as if your hair were on fire.
What this is meant to inspire is the sense that
there is no good time not to be on your spiritual path.
This doesn't mean that you can't ever rest, or stop.
It is not about overachieving or overworking yourself.
It is just about challenging yourself to always be awake in your life,
to keep showing up in the moment.
If you need to rest, rest in the moment.
But if you are stagnating-numbing out, escaping,
or being unconscious-it is up to you to acknowledge it.

Often, stagnation settles in just before an important
breakthrough. This may be a symptom of fear,
one last wall thrown up by our small self in order
to protect us from a life-changing realization.

Sometimes it helps to explore the stagnation in order to move beyond it.
Have compassion for yourself as you work to remove the obstacles to your progress.
With persistence, you will be on your way to the next plateau.
